Reward Yourself Often

When you are trying to lose weight, it’s really important that you reward yourself often. If you are training right then you should be doing a workout every four weeks. You should also be tracking your progress and by the end of four weeks, you should have some measurable success.

It’s at this time that you need to reward yourself with something small. I typically suggest either a new pair of shoes or a new workout outfit… sometimes both are good to get. There is nothing like putting on a new outfit and seeing what it’s capable of doing for you in terms of confidence.

Another time you can reward yourself would be when you get through a difficult set of exercises to lose weight. This reward should be smaller, but definitely do something when you start to see yourself setting new lifting records or new time records in your circuit training.

If you are lucky enough, you can join a program that has fitness challenges. These are programs that you can join where you do your best to lose weight and a winner will get a great price of some sort. These are really helpful to push you farther than you thought you could.
